The attorneys in the Firm’s Antitrust & Trade Regulation Group provide counseling and litigation services regarding competition issues on behalf of local, national and international clients, and the negotiation of consent decrees with the United States Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and the Vermont Attorney General’s Office. Our attorneys have litigated Sherman Act, Robinson-Patman Act, Lanham Act, Federal Trade Commission Act, federal and state industry-specific franchise law and state “Little FTC Act” cases, including class actions. Our attorneys have counseled regional, national and multinational clients on Hart-Scott-Rodino merger issues and on the creation and management of distribution and marketing networks. A significant element of our counseling service to clients in this practice area involves establishing corporate antitrust compliance programs and conducting periodic seminars for senior executives.
We advise clients in franchise law, and, when necessary, represent them in franchise disputes. Our attorneys have extensive experience representing automobile dealers, breweries and clients in the sporting goods industries.
